Ingredients (per serving)

  • 60g black tapioca pearls
  • 30g taro powder
  • 15–30ml fructose (to taste)
  • 200ml milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 60ml hot water
  • Ice

Method

  1. Cook the tapioca pearls in boiling water following the pack instructions, then rest and drain.
  2. Whisk the taro powder with the hot water into a smooth paste.
  3. Add fructose to taste and stir to dissolve.
  4. Combine the taro mix with the milk.
  5. Add the pearls and ice to the cup, then pour over the taro milk.
  6. Stir well and serve with a wide boba straw.
