Recipe: How to prepare Tapioca

 

Cook on a hot plate / induction hob

Weight ratio: Tapioca Pearl: Water = 1:10 Ingredients: Tapioca Pearl (500g)

Water (5000ml)

Sugar (100ml)


Time: cook 35 minutes, sit covered 35 minutes

Instruction:

  1. Sieve the tapioca pearl, taking out the crushed pearl bits.

  2. After the water is boiled, put the tapioca pearls in the pot and stir

    continuously to prevent pearls from sticking together.

  3. After the tapioca pearls start to float, start timer, cook for 35 minutes and

    turn the heat to medium. The tapioca must be stirred every 5 minutes to

    prevent sticking to the pot.

  4. After the timer sounds, cover the pot, turn off the fire and let it sit for another 35 minutes.

  5. After 35 minutes, test if pearls are well cooked. If not, let them sit for 5 more minutes till pearls are well cooked. When well cooked, pour out the excess water and use cold water to cool down the tapioca.

  6.  Add fructose to flavour.
